360 Feedback, is a performance appraisal tool that gathers feedback on an individual from a number of sources typically including managers, peers, direct reports and support staff.
Normally written around a competency framework, 360 Feedback gives managers and individuals important information about skills, behaviour and performance, as well as working relationships. This enables a rounded assessment of an individual compared to the more traditional appraisal arrangements based on line managers’ assessment.
